BK NOTES: This is a work in progress - as I was preparing it when the Biden midnight declaration was announced last night and I will have to deal with that for awhile. In the meantime, here's what I have so far in showing how five key elements of the Valkyrie plot to kill Hitler fits like a glove over the Dealey Plaza operation. I will get back to this ASAP.
Five Key Elements of Valkyrie at Dealey Plaza
1) 1. Use of Standard Covert Operational Techniques and Procedures. As in all such “black” or “wet” operations, what Allen Dulles called “The Crafts of Intelligence” are utilized, including the use of code name for the operation – ie Valkyrie, use of aliases for all participants, oral communications only, nothing is written down, each participant answers to only one person (contact/case officer), lines of communications must go through channels on a need to know basis, lines of authority are strictly maintained meetings are at safe-houses, and messages via “dead drops,” counter-surveillance procedures are practiced, etc. One of my basic assumptions and hypothesis #1 is that covert intelligence operations were used in the murder of the president.

2) 2- Getting Victim to Approve the Operation. Just as Col. Von Steufenberg persuaded Hitler to sign off on Operation Valkyrie, JFK and RFK were pressured into approving the plans to kill Fidel Castro, that would be redirected to JFK in Dallas. This was a very tricky aspect of the Valkyrie plan but an intrigal one if those actually responsible for the murder were to get away with it. And it’s duplicity could be the clincher. A number of key CIA personel and their assets have said that JFK and RFK either ordered or approved certain plans to kill Castro, even though no one individual actually heard them say so, and the lack of any documentation supporting this seems to indicate the Kennedys did not order or approve such plans. The CIA-Mafia plan originated during the Eisenhour administration, and while numerous Castro assassination plans were pitched to the Special Group of the Nationals Security Council, the documented records indicate they were “disapproved by higher authority.” JFK even talked to his friend Paul Fay and a reporter about the pressure he was under to approve the murder of Castro, and said that he didn’t or wouldn’t approve such activities. That didn’t matter to David Belin, Samuel Halpern, Desmond FitzGerald, Gus Russo, James Johnson, and others, who claim that JFK either tried to kill Castro, and Castro got him first, or that Oswald the assassin was influenced by Castro do kill JFK either from a news interview with Castro at the Brazilian Embassy in which Castro said if the Kennedys tried to kill him they themselves would not be safe, or at a Twist Party in Mexico City that I have run down and interviewed participants and Oswald wasn’t there. When Latin American students accused RFK of trying to kill Castro, he said that he saved Castro’s life, not tried to kill him. But the idea that the Kennedys tried to kill Castro remains in play, as it must for the Valkyrie plan to work.

3) 3- Use of Home Guard/National Guard-US Army Reserves to carry out the necessary assignments and tasks on the ground. Col. Von Stafuffenberg was the adjunct to the General in charge of the Home Guard that was responsible for the security of Berlin, a unit not under the control of the regular army, SS or Gestapo. In Texas. In Dallas the National Guard/Army Reserve unit involved was the 488th Army Reserve Intelligence unit, founded and directed by millionaire oil man Colonel Jack Crichton.
Dallas Police Captain George Lumpkin was the driver of the Pilot Car that went a mile ahead of the motorcade to be on the lookout for trouble. Lumpkin was also a Captain in the 488th Army Reserve Intelligence Unit and invited Col. George Whitmeyer, the head of the North Texas National Guard to sit in the middle of the back seat of the Pilot Car in the motorcade, a passenger not approved by the Secret Servic e . Crichton estimated that half of his Reserve unit were also members of the Dallas Police Department, mainly in the Special Services Bureau (SSB), overseen by Lt. Pat Gannaway, who was associated with Jack Ruby since 1950.
Other members of the unit who come into play are Jack Revill, Don Stringfellow, Bill Biggio, and Col. “Brandy” Brandsetter, the manager of the Havana Hilton who convinced Fidel Castro to make the Penthouse there his residence and headquarters when he first arrived in Havana and assumed power. Brandy, in the two books written about him, says that while he was technically under the 488th, as he was from Dallas, he actually reported directly to the Pentagon – Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence (ACSI).
The 488th did their summer of 1963 annual maneurvers at the Pentagon, and as someone who has been training US Army Reservest for over a decade, I have never heard of such training being done at the Pentagon.
The Dallas Police Special Services Bureau (DPD SSB) of which more than half of its officers were members of the 488th USAR IU, maintained their headquarters at the Dallas State Fairgrounds, becauase they also ran undercover informants who could not be seen at the DPD offices at City Hall.

4) 4- Control Communications – Both Internal Security and Mass Media.
Col. Jack Crichton, besides being a multi-millionaire oil man, and head of the 488th US Army Reserves Intelligence unit, also ran the Dallas Emergency Communications Center, which was set up in a bomb proof underground command post benieth the Dallas Science Exhibit at the State Fairgrounds, near the HQ of the DPD SSB IU. The Emergency Communications Command Post that Crichton oversaw used Collins Radios for scanning all radio wave lengths, and especially monitored the Secret Service Charlie Channel that was used for Motorcade security, and tuned in by the Pilot Car, the SS cars and the limos used by JFK and LBJ and by the radios aboard AF1 and Execurtive Air Fleet at Love Field. The DPD maintained two channels, that were recorded. While the Charlie Channel used by the SS and Security is believed to have been recorded by the White House Communications Agency (WHCA) set up in a suite at the Sheritan Hotel, and the Dallas Eemergency Communications Command post, no recording from Charlie Channel has ever been released or even acknowledged to exist.
All of the radios involved, especially those on AF1, were made and maintained by Collins Radio, who also monitored and relayed radio communcations from their Cedar Rapids, Iowa HQ, known as “Liberty” on the existing recordings. Art Collins was a close personal friend and HAM radio enthuist with AF Chief of Staff Gen. Curtis LeMay, and his company not only monitored but controlled all radio broadcasts to and from AF1.
As for major media, the CIA had established Operation Mockingbird at the beginning of the Cold War, that obtained the allegiances of all the top publishers (owners) of newspapers, books, magazines, radio and television networks, as well as major international wire services like AP, UPI, SHNS and NANA, all of which will be detailed in a sidebar.
Those who were behind the assassination could be sure that when the assassination took place, as Von Stauffenberg put it, “Only the Conspiracy Speaks.”

5) 5- Deception – Blame the Opposition – Black Propaganda Psychological Warfare. Deception is a key aspect of all covert intelligence operations, and if you study the psychological warfare text books Paul Linebarger wrote for the US Army, you know that black propaganda is a special type of propaganda that attributes what you say to the opposition. And just as Hitler blamed communists for the Reichstag fire, and the CIA’s only document they could find in their files regarding the Valkyrie plot to kill Hitler was a Cold War propaganda phamplet that blames the failure of the Valkyrie plot on Communists.
As has been clearly demonstrated by a number of those serious about the
JFK assassination, those who arranged the murder of the President tried to
blame the assassination on Fidel Castro, Cuban Communists and Castro apprentice
Lee Harvey Oswald, rather than his enemies in Washington.
Jeff Morley has focused a lot on
the Northwoods Operation – an intentional friendly fire attack on a US base,
blame it on the Cubans and use it as an excuse to attack them, and how it fits
iinto the Dealey Plaza picture.
