November 22, 1963 - November 22, 2022

 November 22, 1963 - November 22, 2022

The assassination of President Kennedy is usually observed on the anniversary of his death, this year being the 59th year, but in my view it went pretty much unobserved by the mainstream media - at least none of the relevant major motion pictures or documentaries were featured on the major networks, as they usually are, at least in my neck of the woods.

There were a number of significant news reports resulting from the Bill Simpich-Mary Ferrell law suit against President Biden and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) seeking enforcement of the JFK Act. That was in large part due to Jeff Morley, who has hit a grand slam in the past few months, first with his new book on Watergate - The Scorpions Dance, his interviews with CIA officer and trainer Carl Jenkins, his PR promotion of the Simpich-Ferrell law suit, that got a lot of mainstream media response, and finally his breaking the story of the death of Dr. Rolando Cubela (aka AMLASH)., who I wrote about in a previous post.

I don't understand why Jeff Morley did not participate in any of the four conferences held over the weekend preceding the anniversary - CAPA - to which he was invited, the virtual LANCER conference, the Judith Vary Baker-Dennis D. conference or the luncheon symposium, all of which presented some interesting new information.

I didn't go to Dallas this year for a number of reasons, one of which was the fact that I wasn't asked to make a presentation, and I couldn't afford the $500 hotel room rate that I paid the last time.

But I did contribute to Allan Dale's Assassination Archives and Research Center (AARC) project to gather one paragraph thoughts on the state of the case from a dozen of the top researchers.

22 November 1963 – 22 November 2022

What I wrote:

While most are concerned with who killed President Kennedy and why, I am focusing on how it was accomplished, which leads to the who and why. The short answer is that it was a covert intelligence operation carried out by elements of a domestic government intelligence agency, using standard covert operational techniques, including cut-outs and deception. As Bill Turner pointed out, the mechanism of death was already in place - plans to kill Fidel Castro, and they were redirected to JFK in Dallas, specifically the Valkyrie and Pathfinder plans. And if the hypothesis that it was a coup is true, then our suspects are limited to those in the government who hated JFK, had the capability to kill him and get away with it.

I then tried to elaborate on my thoughts in a conversation with Len Osanic on Black Op Radio, but my cheep Android phone dimed out more than once, so I will try to make a transcript of it or write a synopsis of what I tried to say to him, though I did get a number of positive responses from those who did listen to it.

Per G. Berglund from Sweden wrote to me saying: "I just listened to your segment on Black Op Rdio. Great interview, very upbeat and inspiring!"

In 1964 Penn Jones began to hold a moment of silence at Dealey Plaza at 12:30 pm on November 22, and did so until he died, when my former associate John Judge took over that tradition, one that was later assumed by JFK Lancer's Debra Conway and then by Judith Very Baker. While I don't know what happened this year, I understand the Q-Anon radical nut cases took over, though I'd like to hear from anyone who was actually there to learn what really happened.

While the Kennedy family still observes the November 22 date of JFK's death as a time to visit his grave, always a mainstream media photo op - one year Senator Ted Kennedy said that he would like people to remember his brother for what he accomplished, his administration, his policies and what he wanted to do. So one day. over lunch. John Judge and myself decided to gather who we could on June 10th, at the JFK monument at the base of the American University football field, where JFK delivered his famous peace speech, that Gorbachef wrote in the Sixth Floor Museum book that it was a significant speech that probably lead to his death.

We met there every June 10th for over a decade, sometimes with a dozen people, usually only a few, and then went to lunch together.

Documentary film maker Randy Benson met us there one year, and tried to keep the custom going, but don't think it will continue, unless people really want it to.

Although November 22 has come and gone, we are still looking forward to a really important date - December 15, 2022, the deadline that President Biden has set for the final release of the remaining sealed government records on the assassination of President Kennedy, that according to the JFK Act of 1992, should have been released in October 2017, but both President Trump and Biden kicked the can further down the line.

I personally don't believe that the FBI, CIA, NSA or any of the government agencies with still withheld records will release anything of significance, though they already have - see my article on The Top Ten Records released under the JFK Act.

In fact, the most significant still withheld records - the unedited Air Force One radio transmission tapes and transcript, the ONI Defector File, the CIA Operational files on George Joannides and Carl Jenkins, etc. are not even part of the JFK Collection and have been kept out of the public record.

But come December 15, they will release something, and maybe the Simpich-Ferrell law suit will force their hand, though I doubt it.

And so the 59th anniversary has come and gone, and next year, the 60th anniversary, should get more mainstream media attention, and plans are already being made. Ben Wecht, who runs the Cyril Wecht Center at Duquense University in Pittsburg is planning on a two day conference on the Thursday and Friday before Thanksgiving in 2023, which promises to be a significant event. And CAPA, whose chairman is Dr. Wecht, may hold a two day walk in conference in Dallas on Saturday and Sunday of the same weekend, though that has yet to be determined.

In any case, the December 15, 2022 and November 2023 dates are to be kept in mind, as something is sure to happen, though we don't yet know exactly what.

Just listened to your Black Op Radio Review Bill and I am reading up on your most recent blogposts now. Thanks for all your doing and I fully agree that JFK's American University speech is something that we all should boost much more!...especially in the teaching of high school history classes. By the way, I replied to your email to me from my last comment that you sent to my former employer's email as I sent it originally from that email rather than from my personal email. One thing I wanted to pass on to you is this YT interview of the folksinger Jim Glover's remembrances of that era as he had an interesting experience that might provide some more background on the setting in Texas in November 1962. Here is the link to the transcript of Jeff Brown's interview with Glover: https://chinarising.puntopress.com/2020/07/19/transcript-lucky-to-be-alive-the-amazing-truth-telling-life-story-of-singer-songwriter-jim-glover-and-the-kafkaesque-nexus-of-american-culture-the-cia-jfk-george-and-barbara-bush-j-edgar-hoov/ (scroll down some).
