Dallas Conferences – November 2024
It’s November and November 22 falls on a Friday this year as it did in 1963, and I’m sure many people will be heading to Dallas to attend one of the conferences and the annual luncheon with speakers, but I won’t.
JFK Lancer, Debra Conway’s group has taken over the Dallas Marriott Courtyard, where CAPA has held a number of conferences after Mike Nurko and I checked it out and found its top floor perfect for a conference, with a board room, large ball room and bar with balcony overlooks of downtown Dallas. It’s a first class establishment with nice rooms, good food and fine service.
But this year Lancer got in ahead of CAPA so CAPA had to resort to a third class hotel on Elm Street, but when only a few people registered for its conference, had to cancel the in person event and go virtual on line only. As I predicted in my blog post WHY CAPA IS KAPUT, no one is qualified to fill Dr. Wecht’s shoes, especially Glenda DeVaney.
It appears that JFK Lancer will hold the best in person conference in Dallas this year, though Judy Baker and David Denton the History boys will also be holding on a conference “Exposing the Falsehoods of the Warren Commission” at the Hilton Double Tree on Market Center Blvd. a few miles from Dealey Plaza.
While I know there will be a moment of silence at the Plaza at 12:30 pm on 11/22/35, I don’t know who will be conducting the service. Since Penn Jones and John Judge have both passed away, Debra Conway and Judy Baker have both handled that chore, and I’m sure it will take place as long as our society survives.
The David Denton cand The JK Historical Group conference at
the Double Tree will be a walk in as well as available virtually on Zoom, and
will highlight a Q and A with Jeff Crudele, host of the “JFK The Enduring
Secret” podcast. The conference is entitled “Correcting Our History: The Assassination
of JFK and the Quest for Truch and Justice.” Some presenters include Ed Tatro,
David Knight and Gary Fannin.
There will be a focus on the medical evidence with presentations by Mike
Chesser, Doug Horne, Dr. Mike Chesser ,
Rick Russo and Dr. David Mantik, a CAPA refugee. For more see: https://www.jfkhistorical.com/
It seems these guys are the youngest a nd next generation of conference hosts. Denton is a professor of history at Olney Central College where he has hosted a number of JFK conferences over the years.
Larry Hancock, the longtime moderator and standout researcher at the Lancer conference has informed us that he will be addressing the conference virtually but his friend and author David Boylan will be there and Chuck Ochelli will be the moderator.
Among the speakers at Lancer will be Casey Quinian, Mike Swanson, Dick Russell, Will O’Halloran, Jacob Hornberger, Bob Nelson, Gayle-Nix Jackson, Bill Simpich, Bob Groden and Brian Edwards, who will speak on his new book Admitted Assassin that he co-wrote with Gary Shaw.
Unfortunately they have agreed to allow Fred Litwin, the nitwit, who will speak on – that is trying to debunk the Richard Case Nagell files, so I’m glad Dick Russell will be there to set him straight,.

I will be writing more on the birth and demise of CAPA soon.
I don’t think Dallas is the center of the assassination universe any more. How many times can you walk through Dealey Plaza, give a moment of silence, listen to the speeches and conference presentations that only repeat the same things every year? I now believe that DC is where the energy should be focused, as it is where the evidence and records are at the NARA, where the Assassination Archives and Research Center is located, along with Jeff Morley and JFKFacts and other key resarchers. That’s where we should be.
