Another Question - #2 for NARA

Another Question - #2 for NARA

Dear NARA,

Who is Responsible for continuing the Search for JFK assassination recirds?

Who specifically associated with the JFK Collection at the National Archives is following the JFK Act and Assassination Records Review Board (ARRB) mandate for the Archives to continue the search for government JFK assassination records, identify them, locate them, take possession of them, secure them for preservation by placing them in the JFK Collection and make them available to the public?

Who at the NARA is actively doing this?

I need to know because I am aware of a dozen undesputable JFK records that are in government records, but not in the JFK Collection that should be there, as well as assassination records in private hands that should be government property and open to the public, but aren't.

I will list them, though I have previously called your attention to them.

A) As an example. I called your attention to the mention in Gerald Blane's book on the Secret Service - The Kennedy Detail, that he maintained copies of reports he wrote, including the Tampa Advance report, the official copy of which the SS said was intentionally destroyed After the Congressionally approved JFK Act that made it a crime to destroy such records.

The Archives then retrieved those documents, shared them with me, and I posted them publicly on my blog.

B) You don't have to go far because the ONI Defector File, identified and marked as a JFK record, was sent to the Archives, but kept out of the JFK Collection when it was realized that the ARRB was going to eventually release everything in the JFK Collection in 2017. What else has been kept out of the JFK Collection by being falsely classified as NBR - Not Believed Relevant when it clearly meets the criteria according to the ARRB definition of an assassination record?

C) When Rochard Sprague, the first chief counsel of the HSCA left office he took all of his files with him, and they are now located in his Philadelphia law office, now run by his son.

D) The Belarussian KGB files on Oswald given to Norman Mailer, are now in the custody of his former associate Lawrence Schiller, who refused to turn them over to the ARRB.

E) When JFKs personal secretary Mrs. Evelyn Lincoln was not invited to Caroline's wedding, she willed the entire contents of the Oval Office to a celebrity autograph collector, who sold much of it, including the Oval Office dictabelt recordings of conversations and phone calls (Oct. - Nov. 22), now in private hands.

F) Mrs Lincoln sent two trunks of Oval Office records to her personal attorney in Nebraska, who had them stored in the sheriff's evidence locker. They are now in private hands.

G) The origional unedited AF1 radio transmission tapes and recording of the SS motorcade Charlie channel were in the hands of the White House Communications Agency (WHCA), but they can't seem to find them.

H) A number Church Comittee interviews are missing, tapes and transcripts that could not have been taken by anyone without authority, certainly limiting the suspects for anyone looking for them.

I) There are more, just ask Jeff Morley, John Newman, Rex Bradford, Malcolm Blunt, David Talbot, or anyone who has been poking around the files and looking for key records. Some folders simply have a notice: This document has been removed for reasons of National Security.

The ARRB Final Report assigns the NARA the responsibility of continuing their work identifying, locating, securing and placing all government JFK assassination records in the JFK Collevtion at the Archives and open to the public.

If they won't do their jobs they should be replaced by people who will.

And I hope the NARA will answer my questions before Congress gets to ask them under oath.

Some Transparancy Plan.

My Transparancy Plan - just release the records as the law prescribes and let the heavens fall. Im sure we'll survive.

More questions to come.
