Oliver Stone, producer of the film “JFK,” will
attend the CAPA Conference and give remarks at the banquet Saturday night. CAPA
will be presenting him with our “Profiles in Courage” Award.
Dr. Cyril Wecht, world-renowned forensic pathologist
and CAPA Chairman will speak at the banquet on “Post JFK, RFK, MLK Related
Deaths – Circumstantial or Orchestrated?”
Dr. Cyril Wecht and Dr. Gary Aguilar will give a
talk on “Five Lines of Medical and Scientific Evidence Converge - A Shot From
The Front.”
Professor John Newman - author of many books on the
JFK assassination, will speak about research for his new book volume which will
demonstrate how Antonio Veciana’s years of deception about his case officers
(laid out in Volume III, “Into the Storm”) reveals a roadmap of new leads he
will be pursuing in his upcoming Volume IV—“Armageddon.”
Bill Simpich will discuss the intelligence unit of
the Dallas Police Department and its role in the investigation/coverup of the
JFK assassination.
James DiEugenio, Author of “Denstiny Betrayed,” will
speak on “The FBI and Jim Garrison.”
Rolf Mowatt-Larssen is a Senior Fellow at Harvard
Kennedy School Belfer Center, will spake on “Marked for Assassination: Who
Killed JFK?” Prior to joining the Belfer Center, he served for 23 years as a
CIA intelligence officer in various domestic and international posts. He is a
recipient of the CIA Director's Award, the George W. Bush Award for Excellence
in Counterterrorism, the Distinguished Career Intelligence Medal, Secretary of
Defense Civilian Distinguished Service Medal, and the National Intelligence
Superior Performance Medal. Drawing on his 23 years as a CIA clandestine
services officer recruiting spies and hunting moles as well as his access to
classified CIA files, he will discuss his theory regarding who within the
intelligence community plotted to kill JFK.
Former Life Magazine executive James Wagenvoord will
reveal the inside story of the Zapruder film, the alteration of certain photos
associated with the assassination, and the “backyard” Oswald photos.

Burt Griffin, former Warren Commission attorney who
assisted in the investigation of Jack Ruby, along with Judge Brandon Birmingham
who participated in the Ruby trial, will speak about their experiences. Judge
Birmingham was the head of the Cold Case unit under Dallas District Attorney
Craig Watkins and was responsible for discovering previously unknown
JFK-related records, correspondence of former District Attorney Henry Wade, and
other artifacts that had been stored in a 6-foot safe in a Dallas courthouse in
2007.
“FORENSICS PANEL” - Using modern analytical tools, a
panel will review some of the forensic evidence regarding the rifle, bullet
fragments, and autopsy used by the Warren Commission and HSCA to support the
conclusions of their reports.

“MEET THE ARCHIVISTS’ PANEL” - The panel will
consist of archivists from the major JFK Collections who will discuss the
current holdings in each of the participant's repositories, the process to
access this material, and suggestions for archiving collections for researchers
in the future.

CAPA November in Dallas Conference
CAPA has assumed responsibility for the annual
November in Dallas conference formerly hosted by JFK Lancer
Productions. The conference will be held 22 and 23 November 2019 at the
new Marriott Courtyard hotel at 310 South Houston Street in the Dallas
Downtown/Reunion district which is just two short blocks from Dealey Plaza.
HOTEL INFORMATION
CAPA has reserved a block of rooms for three days
(November 21 through November 24) at the discounted rate of only $139 (plus
taxes) per night. Here

the discounted rate. The rate is good until October 22. The hotel has only
Friday and Saturday nights left. There is a chance, if another tentative
conference falls through, they will have Thursday night available too but that

cancellations.
Two other hotels have agreed to block 20 rooms
each. The sister hotel to the Marriott will block 20 rooms at the same
rate as the Marriott ($139 plus taxes). It is three miles from Dealey Plaza but

The other hotel is La Quinta next door to the
Marriott near Dealey Plaza. They have blocked 20 rooms at the rate of
$146/night plus taxes. They will hold the rooms until Nov. 7th or they
sell out whichever occurs first. Reservations can be made only by phone -

November is a busy time in Dallas and the hotels
fill up quickly.
